The story of ACE
My interest and passion for analogy developed when I arrived in the United States in the early nineties, as a young freshman starting university. With English being my second language, analogy became the refugee of my imagination and catalyst of reason. In my early professional life and to this day, analogy is the antidote to jargon, acronyms, and complexity.
In a society that seeks univocal truths and equivocal communication in the name of political correctness, analogous terms provide space to express emotion and exercise cognition – sharing the podium of expression with metaphors, punchlines, idioms, simile and wordplay.
Analogies can help in moments of complexity; when day to day life becomes overwhelming and we seek answers or a way to relate to the world we live in. While this book might be categorized as self-help or spiritual development, it provides inspiration, advice and perspective on different aspects of day to day life, through the use of analogy.
